- Good morning respected teacher, dear exchange students.
- I am honored and pleased to deliver this farewell speech. How time flies! Today, 1st of July, is a day of joy, particularly for our exchange students and your parents. We are all here to bid farewell to our exchange students after successful completion [kəm'pliʃən] of their exchange program in the college.
- Ok,now, let’s look at s set of statistics [stə'tɪstɪks]. There are 7 billion people on this planet. About 1.5 billion of them are in China. This’s to say, other countries have the population of 5.5 billion. So, it’s an amazing and lucky thing that we meet each other.
- Dear exchange students, despite some hard tasks, sadness and grief [ɡrif] that you have encountered [ɪn'kaʊntɚ] in the course of your exchange life and your studies in this college at the end of all, you completed this part of journey with great achievements and beautiful memories. Do you remember? We still remember vividly that we visited Henan Museum, we went to the Yellow River scenic [ˈsinɪk] spot –which is acclaimed [ə'kleɪmd] as the Mother River of China, and we also had a wonderful trip to ancient capital Kaifeng, the largest city in that time. How did you enjoy this trip? I firmly believe that your answer is Yes.
- Today, I am honored to say, we are proud of your many achievements over three months, your various accomplishments in almost all curriculum [kə'rɪkjələm] and extra curriculum activities. Also, your sweet memories will forever remain in our heats.
- Dear exchange students, as you leave this college, expect that some challenge await you, which of course, I strongly believe that you will overcome them by your skills and knowledge you have learned in this college.
- On behalf of our class, I bid farewell and wish you best of luck in your days ahead. My God bless you all! Finally, share some words for everyone.
- Thank you very much.
