how to use mysql with docker

很多时候，我们经常需要借助mysql command line工具来对mysql数据库做管理，这个时候，如果手边没有对应版本的mysql客户端，相对来说就比较麻烦。

不过，也不用过分担心，我们可以借助docker的mysql官方镜像完成上述功能，具体办法如下面脚本所示。

docker run -it --rm mysql:5.7.28 mysql \
 --host=192.168.1.131 \
 --port=3306 \
 --user=lwk \
 --password \
 --database=harbin

下面是一个真实的实例

lwk@harbin:~$ docker run -it --rm mysql:5.7.28 mysql \
> --host=192.168.1.131 \
> --port=3306 \
> --user=lwk \
> --password \
> --database=harbin

?         (\?) Synonym for `help'.
clear     (\c) Clear the current input statement.
connect   (\r) Reconnect to the server. Optional arguments are db and host.
delimiter (\d) Set statement delimiter.
edit      (\e) Edit command with $EDITOR.
ego       (\G) Send command to mysql server, display result vertically.
exit      (\q) Exit mysql. Same as quit.
go        (\g) Send command to mysql server.
help      (\h) Display this help.
nopager   (\n) Disable pager, print to stdout.
notee     (\t) Don't write into outfile.
pager     (\P) Set PAGER [to_pager]. Print the query results via PAGER.
print     (\p) Print current command.
prompt    (\R) Change your mysql prompt.
