I have to install an very old version of syncfusion recently, and by some mistake, I installed it wrong the first attempt. Then I could not install later after.
But after some trial and error, I found there is some tricks that you can play to install the desired software. and I think it might help with other software as well. so I am writting down the steps as for how.
First, you can right click on the software and select the "trouble shooting Compatiblity"
and then you can choose the recommended settings, for this case, I will choose the windows Xp sp2.
and then I will click on the button " Star the program"
You can test if the application runs successfully, if it does, you can click on the "next" button above and you can save the settings for the software as follow.
After saving the software with the settings, you can then install the software again to see if the comparability issues goes away...
I used this approach to solved the software install problem.
