sudo netstat -tlnp | grep smb //find the port of smb
/etc/init.d/smb restart/start/stop // control server
smbclient -L //192.168.1.100 //connect to another computer
smbclient //192.168.1.100/Rhel //connect to a folder then use put and get to control files
when I tried mount a filesystme to my linux, I failed , because in fedora 9 there is no smbfs any more, instead it use cifs, so the new command is 
sudo mount -t cifs -o codepage=cp936 //192.168.1.100/Rhel /home/lliu/samba
, and I fund it is really useful.here cp936 means chinese.
