Auto-reaction method
You can allocate auto-reaction methods to critical performance indicators so you will be informed of an alert by email, fax, or pager, even if you are not currently working with the Alert Monitor. The Alert Monitor can automatically dial a pager or send an email or fax to the following addressees:
->A business workplace user in Client 000. The email is sent within five minutes of the alert's occurrence and is delivered immediately.
->A distribution list or external email address. The email is sent within five minutes of the alert's occurrence. Depending on the settings in SAPconnect, there can be a delay before mail is sent to external email addresses (that is, user addresses that are not defined in Client 000 or in the SAP system). You should set the time delay for the SAPconnect send process to less than one hour.
The email message text contains the same information displayed in the Alert Monitor: what the problem is, where and when it occurred, and the degree of urgency of the alert (a red alert indicates a problem or an error; an amber alert is a warning).
