语义网络 (Semantics Web)

 Semantics Web (SW) 一直是我感兴趣的话题. 今天的数据挖掘比较依赖于结构化数据, 但人所共知, 应用的趋势是分布的高纬度数据. 这正是SW的强项, 而这又将给现有的方法以严峻的挑战.

RDF (Resource Description Framework) 是SW的一个基础, 下面是一段对什么是RDF的解释:  It is a family of specifications for a metadata model that is often implemented as an application of XML. The RDF family of specification is maintained by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The RDF metadata model is based upon the idea of making statements about resources in the form of a subject-predicate-object expression, called a triple in RDF terminology.  The subject is the resource, the "thing" being described. The predicate is a trait or aspect about the resource, and often expresses a relationship between the subject and the object. The object is the object of the relationship or value of that trait.
