i.e./e.g./aka的使用

• i.e.

i.e.表示“等同于”，其近似语是that is或者in other words。

在写作中，i.e.表示进一步解释。先做一个陈述，再加i.e.，再接进一步解释，或者换个说法描述，或者打比方。

The elephant is a pachyderm, i.e., a large animal with thick skin and nails on feet resembling hooves.

i.e.可以用于列举所有的可能情况

In our research we altered the order of image display (i.e., first, second, or third) as well as their color scheme, that is, whether we had applied a blue or green filter.

• e.g.

e.g.表示举例，“for the sake of example”。可以用于例举文献的例子

一般情况，e.g.不跟etc.连用，因为e.g.表示例举，但不是列举（列出所有情况）。

其常见的句子中使用位置有两种，一是在句子中间（注意前后用逗号隔开），二是放在括号里补充说明。

Buy some vegetables, e.g., carrots.
I like power metal (e.g., Firewind, Iced Earth, Sonata Arctica).

• aka

aka的全称是also known as，用于说明别名或者进一步解释。

一般用法是在某个名字之后，加","，再加上"aka"，和更多信息。
