Learning Linux(3): Optimize the performance of Ubuntu Linux

 

After installing the system,

 

 

1. remove the unnecessary startup apps.

go to the 'system > preference > startup application'    remove the unnecessary startup apps.

 

2.  remove the unnecessary services.

 

install bootup manager first

 

cmd: sudo apt-get install bum

 

then:  sudo bum

 

then we can turn off those unnecessary services

 

 

3. use system monitor to shut down useless applications.

 

'system > Administration > system monitor '
