SYMPTOMS PRVF-5486 : The NTP daemon on the indicated nodes is not using UDP port 123 CAUSE /etc/service is not readable by grid user. SOLUTION Add read permission to grid and database user to /etc/services In this example, once it's changed to 644, the error disappears.
