Enter the official website to view the official document of Spring. See https://spring.io/guides/gs/rest-service/.
Get the current code from Git. Address https://github.com/spring-guides/gs-rest-service.git
Open STS and import the project and select ‘Existing Maven Projects’. See the dialog box below:
Enter project folder ‘..\spring-guide\complete’ where open cmd.exe and build the JAR file with ‘mvnw clean package’.
Run the generated JAR file. As shown below:
Open your browser and access http://localhost:8080/greeting?name=Luke.
