SAP ABAP MIGO 413 Error M7361 - MIGO using movement Type 413

Symptom

You are trying to post a transfer of normal stock type E in transaction MIGO, using Movement Type 413. And you are getting:
Error message M7361 "Combination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possible".
In transaction OMJJ you have checked that "QM not active" option is selected for movement type 413.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Transaction MIGO
2. Select Event A08 (Transfer Posting)
3. Select Reference Doc R10 (Other)
4. Select Movement Type 413
5. In the Transfer Posting Tab, under "From" fill Material, Plant, Storage Location 
6. In the "Destination" View, fill storage location, Special Stock Indicator, Sales Order Number and Item.
7. Enter the Quantity
8. Click "Check" or "Post"
9. Error generated: Combination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possible.

Cause

You can use  movement type (413) to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.

Possible special stock indicators: E, K, Q

The movement type 413 does not support the quality inspection stock; only unrestricted use stock.

Resolution

Check table QMAT shows that for the inspection type 08 (Stock transfer inspection), Material and plant combination  the quality inspection field is active.

It also can be checked directly in Material Material Master:

1. Transaction MM02.
2. Enter the Material #.
3. Select the Quality Management view.
4. Enter the Plant #.
5. Click the Inspection Set Up button.
6. See the list of the many different Inspection Types.
7. The value 08 for "Stock transfer inspection".
8. On the right-hand-side you can see that the Active flag is set.

In a transfer posting (movType 413) the system tries to post to Quality Inspection when that flag is Active.
Therefore, please, deactivate this flag if you want to avoid error M7361 and be able to transfer the Material.
