Almost a year back I started posting videos on YouTube and ever since the journey has been incredible. With the growing audience, like any other YouTube Creator, I started using the YouTube Studio App, and given that I’m a designer as well, I realized how much the app could be improved. Being a millennial the aesthetics appeal to me as much as its work efficiency and so I decided to redesign the YouTube Studio App.

YouTube Studio is an official YouTube app for helping YouTube creators to manage their YouTube channels. It provides one with several features like monitoring the YouTube analytics, moderating the comments, managing the subscribers’ count, to name a few. The app is for administeringthe YouTube channel.

One of the key elements that made me consider redesigning the YouTube Studio app was how the app was lacking in terms of its user interface. I feel that the app is quite outmoded. Though the app is fairly efficient the design doesn’t exactly, well I’m just going to say it, it’s kinda boring. Being a YouTube creator myself gave me an upper hand in redesigning this app and the different features of the app could be organized in a better way considering the needs of the creators.

- The Dashboard is practically the first thing one sees after opening the app and compared to the previous tiny subscriber counter merely at the top end of the screen, I enlarged and highlighted it. 实际上，仪表板是打开应用程序后看到的第一件事，并且仅在屏幕顶端与以前的微型订户计数器进行了比较，因此我对其进行了放大和突出显示。
- The second feature I added is the availability of sharing it across different social media platforms, which makes it much easier and honestly, looks so much better than outdated screenshots. 我添加的第二个功能是可以在不同的社交媒体平台上共享它的功能，这使它变得更加容易和诚实，与过时的屏幕截图相比，看起来要好得多。
- For any creator, the most vital attributes are the Views, the Subscriber count, and the Revenue and the one-tap ease of switching between these makes it so much more convenient. 对于任何创作者来说，最重要的属性是视图，订户计数和收入，一键式轻松切换它们之间的关系变得更加便捷。

The analytics of two or more of your videos can be compared along with the detailed data graphs on the Impressions, the watch time, and the likes! So you know exactly what type of videos your audience finds the most entertaining, sounds so much better already right?

收入 (Revenue)
You don’t need to hunt through Google AdSense to look at your last transaction, I mean who has that sort of time to spare, you can look at your last transaction on the same page!

- A categorized earning of each of your video through a simple color-coded graph makes it handy. 通过一个简单的颜色编码图就可以轻松分类每个视频的收入。
An overview of your monthly earnings is a given but now you can also compare your monthly earnings! At just one tap you can see the rankings of your monthly earnings, so you know easily how much of that Amazon wishlist is being shifted to cart this month ;)

The whole process of redesigning the YouTube Studio app, I’m not gonna lie, hasn’t been so easy. It has been challenging to say the least but it also has been equally enriching!
