We teach computer science and software engineering and you can tailor your studies towards a particular career path, with majors offered in artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, distributed systems and networking.

Our computer science and software engineering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees provide an outstanding foundation of skills and understanding in complex computing and computer systems. With five industry-driven majors on offer—you can tailor your studies towards a wide range of in-demand careers.

At the School of Computer Science our world-class research is focused on computer vision, distributed and high-performance computing, evolutionary systems, computer science education, formal methods and software architectures.

The Computer Science Learning Centre (CSLC)—also known as the ‘Duck Lounge’—is a dedicated space for students undertaking Computer Science subjects.

We provide primary and secondary school teachers with free online courses, professional learning events and a National Lending Library to better prepare them for teaching digital technology in the classroom.
