Features

在磁盘上，一个基于eclipse的product是一些插件的集合。每个插件包含的代码提供了一些产品的功能。一个插件的代码和其他文件安装在本地电脑上，会自动激活。

A product's plug-ins are grouped together into features.A feature is a unit of separately downloadable and installable functionality.

网上的资料是这么说的：features目录下方的都是plugin的配置信息，启动信息还有一些图片等一些资源，而plugins目录下则方的是jar包，也就是实现插件功能的代码包，还有一些必要的配置信息等。

从eclipse平台模块化编程的根本特性可以知道，it easy to install additional features and plug-ins into an Eclipse based product, and to update the product's existing features and plug-ins。the Eclipse platform's install and update support found in the Help menu.
