Abstract： MATLAB is used to calculate the load flow of the electric system. By comparing the calculation results of MATLAB， Simulation and Matpower under the same load change， it is found that all the results meet the system requirements， thus the three methods' effectiveness is verified. And the calculation efficiency of the three methods conform to the development of modern load flow calculation， so these methods have opened up a new direction for power flow calculation.
