This section opens with an introductory essay by Jasmina Luki, who lectures at the Department of Gender Studies of the Central European University in Budapest. She is followed by a number of women literary historians and critics from the region as a whole who address the same topic; of these we single out: Call numbers of death and the ethics of women's writing, an essay by a literary historian and critic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nirman Moranjak-Bambura.
