Windows 10
Close down chrome. All instances of chrome must be closed first.
Right click on desktop, add new shortcut
Add the target as "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-web-security --disable-gpu --user-data-dir=C:\MyChromeDevUserData
Click OK.
Windows Microsoft Edge
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-web-security --disable-gpu --user-data-dir=C:\MyChromeDevUserData
OSX
Close down chrome. All instances of chrome must be closed first.
Open Terminal
Run the following command:
open -a /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app --args --disable-web-security --user-data-dir=/Users/yourname/MyChromeDevUserData/
OSX Microsoft Edge
open -a /Applications/Microsoft\ Edge.app --args --disable-web-security --user-data-dir=/Users/yourname/MyChromeDevUserData/
Linux
google-chrome --disable-web-security
If you need access to local files for dev purposes like AJAX or JSON, you can use -–allow-file-access-from-files flag.
