英语中的祈使语气表示直接命令建议。祈使句的否定形式则由Don't 加上动词原形。   Don't drop it.

文中出现的“give it to me” 和之前遇到的“give me a book”表示give 后面可以加直接宾语（物品，book）和间接宾语（人，me）。如果直接宾语置于动词give之后，间接宾语变成to介词短语。
