The line graph compares the world sales of four categories of electronic games from 2000 to 2006.

In the year of 2000, handheld games were the most popular games, selling at11 $bn, 2 times more than that of. console games.From 2000 to 2006, Handheld Games saw an increasing trend, up from 11$bn to 16 &bn. By contrast, Console Games showed an opposite trend, the number of which decreased from 6 in 2000 to 4$bn in 2003, before maintaining stable for 2 years , where the figure kept dropping to 2.5 in 2006.

In terms of the performance of Online games ,it appeared in market in 2001 with 1 $bn.The following 5 years witnessed an rising from 1&bn to 9$bn in 2006 with a mild increase in the former 4 years and a soar between 2005 and 2006. As to Mobile Phone Games , it emerged in 2002, which was the latest time among the 4 . After that, a gradual upward trend could be found from 2$ bn to 7$bn in 2006 .In 2006 , Handheld Games hit the highest sales at 18, 2 times as many as that of Online games and 9 times more than that of Console Games.

Overall, there was a downward trend of console games whereas all the other 3 kinds all promoted their sales ,among which the fasted speed belonged to online games. Besides ,handheld games had always been the champion sales ,however ,the number of mobile phone games and console games were comparatively small.
