谢洪,男,重庆大学百人计划特聘研究员、博士生导师。任职于重庆大学计算机学院,计算机科学与技术系。于香港中文大学计算机系获得博士学位,师从John C.S. Lui教授,中国科学技术大学计算机学院获得本科学位。曾在新加坡国立大学从事博士后研究师从 Richard T.B. Ma 教授和在香港中文大学从事博士后研究师从 John C.S. Lui 教授。

在线机器学习模型、算法及其在数据科学中的应用。主要动机是解决互联网应用(比如推荐系统、社交网络等)中如何利用数据优化决策的问题。理论与应用并重,目标是设计实际应用效果好,并且能从理论上论证为什么好以及什么时候好的机器学习算法。主要包括以下三方面:

*单智体在线学习:多臂机(Multi-armed bandits),在线优化(Online optimization)等。

*延迟奖励下的在线学习:马尔科夫决策理论(Markov decision process),强化学习(Reinforcement learning)等。

*多智体在线学习:随机博弈论(Stochastic game),多智体强化学习(Multi-agent reinforcement learning)等。

理论上,专注于综合运用统计学、随机过程、随机算法、优化、博弈论等工具解决以上在线学习中的建模与算法问题。

应用上,专注于运用以上方法解决推荐系统、社交网络、群智系统、电子商务等应用中如何利用数据优化决策的问题。[1]
