Abstract:
Getting accurate satellite orbit is essential in the high-precision GPS data post-processing. Interpolation is an important means for obtaining any epoch GPS satellite orbit coordinates. This article simply introduces principle of four algorithms, which are Lagrange polynomial interpolation, Newton polynomial interpolation, Neville successive linear interpolation and coefficients of the interpolating polynomial, then analyzes and compares the accuracy of different order polynomial interpolation, and theoretical calculation operations of floating-point multiplication and division, and running time of these algorithms. The result indicates that each algorithm is feasible when interpolation nodes are reasonable and 13-order polynomial interpolation has the highest accuracy. Newton interpolation and coefficients of the interpolating polynomial algorithm are about 10 times faster than Lagrange and Neville interpolation.
