【源码】车牌号码识别——使用模板匹配算法从车辆的车牌图像中提取字符

这是一种基于模板匹配技术的车牌号码识别算法。

It is a vehicle’s number/license plate recognition algorithm based on the very elementary technique of Templates matching.

该算法采用数字车牌的输入图像（数字车牌在图像中占据主导地位），对图像进行滤波后进行区域运算。

The algorithm takes an input image of the number plate (number plate should be dominant in the image) and after filtering the image, it performs region based operations.

然后对处理后的二值图像中的字符区域进行捕获，并借助于模板匹配输出字符串的数字图像字符。

Then it tries to capture the characters regions in a processed binary image and with the aid of template matching outputs the string of number plate characters.
