A: Oh great! This stupid computer froze again! That’s the third time today! Hey Samuel, can you come take a look at my PC? It’s acting up again. It must have a virus or something.

B: Just give me a second; I’ll be right up.

B: I ran a virus scan on your computer, and it turns out that you have a lot of infected files!

A: But I’m quite careful when I’m browsing the internet,I have no idea how I could have picked up a virus.

B: Well, you have to make sure that your anti-virus software is updated regularly; yours wasn’t up to date, that’s probably what was causing your problems.

A: Ok. Anything else?

B: Yeah, try not to kick or hit the computer!

A: Um yeah, Sorry about that.

初级 - 电脑病毒！（C0007）

A: 这下好了，这破电脑又卡住了!今天已经第三次这样了！Samuel,你能过来看看我的电脑吗？它又出毛病了。肯定是又中了病毒之类的。

B: 等我一会儿，我马上就上去。

B: 我刚扫描了一下病毒，发现你电脑上有很多被感染的文件。

A: 但我浏览网页的时候都很小心的，我不知道它怎么就中了病毒了。

B: 你要经常更新一下杀毒软件，你的软件都不是最新版本的了，估计这就是你电脑出毛病的原因。

A: 好吧，还有什么其他要注意的吗？

B: 有啊，别再踢或者用力拍电脑了！

A: 好的好的，不好意思。

freeze【（电脑）冻结；故障】通俗点说就是电脑卡住了/死机了，什么都点不了，好像被冻住一样。同样的意思还可以用 freeze up 来表示，因为一般和别人提起电脑卡机的时候问题往往已经发生了，所以过去式 froze / froze up用得比较多

act up【（机器）运转不正常，出毛病】，大家看到“我的电脑出问题了”可能会想到“my computer was acting strangely”或者 “my computer isn’t working properly”，这两个表达也都是可以的，这里就再补充一个 act up。除了电脑，act up的主语还可以是其它机器:
>> She was messing with the coffee pot, which was acting up again. 她正在鼓捣咖啡壶，那壶又坏了。
act up和freeze不一样的地方就在于，freeze是一个很具体的问题，即“电脑卡住不动了”，而act up就比较泛了，只要电脑没有正常运转，出了毛病都可以说act up。
- virus【病毒】，疾病的病毒和电脑/手机的病毒都用virus来表示。
  >> There are many ······ flu virus.流感病毒有很多不同类型。
  >> Hackers are said to have started a computer virus. 据说黑客们已经开始传播一种新的电脑病毒。
  >>I got a virus alert when I downloaded my email. 我下载邮件的时候收到了“此文件可能含有病毒”的提示。
如果要表达【我的电脑中病毒了】，可以用以下几种说法：
I got a virus on my Computer.
My computer has a virus
My computer got a virus.
sb will be right ….【某人马上就…】，后面经常加表示方向的词，比如 I’ll be right out / up / down / back等等，分别表示“我马上就出去/上去/下去/回来”；除此之外，后面还可以加there和here，具体使用哪个词要看说话人所处的位置，大家看几个实际的例子感受一下：
>> A: Can you help me with my computer? 你能帮忙看看我的电脑吗？
B: I’ll be right there. 我马上过去。
>> C: Come downstairs. Dinner is ready. 快下楼吧，晚饭已经好啦
D: I’ll be right down!我马上就下去！
>> E: Hurry up! I need to use the bathroom! 你快点啊！我急着用厕所
F: I’ll be right out! 我马上就出去了！
run a virus scan 【病毒查杀/扫描】，scan表示“扫描〔文件或图片〕”，virus scan 就是“病毒扫描”，也就是下图这个动作。注意，“进行病毒扫描”搭配的动词是 run

it turns out…【(以某种方式)发生；结果是；原来是；其实…】这也是个高频短语，往往后面的内容都暗含有一种之前没料到，得知后恍然大悟的意味。
>> It turns out the first buyer got cold feet. 结果是之前的买家临时改变了主意。(《美国主妇》)
>> I figure I'd better answer it, and it turns out it's my mother, which is very-very weird, because- she never calls me! 后来我还是觉得该接一下电话。结果发现竟是我妈打来的，可真是奇怪，因为她从来不给我打电话. （《老友记》第一季第1集）
>> Have you heard the latest gossip? It turns out Sue is having an affair with Mike 最近有个八卦话题你听说了没？（原来）苏和麦克在搞婚外情。（这句话可以说是美剧谈八卦的经典开场白了）

infected files【被（病毒）感染的文件】

browse the internet 【浏览网页】，千万不要再说成look at the internet

anti-virus software 【杀毒软件】

up to date 形容词，指【包含最新信息的；最新的】
>> I need to buy a new computer, because mine isn’t up to date. 我要买个新电脑，我的电脑已经不是最新的了。
>> I can’t find this street. Are you sure this map is up to date? 我找不到这条街，你确定你的地图是最新的吗？
>> Sarah has just finished the report and all the information is up to date. Sarah 刚完成报告，这些信息都是最新的。

freeze = stop working properly停止工作

take a look = see / revise 看一看

act up = not working properly不能正常工作

be right up = go upstairs soon很快马上就来

pick up= get acquire 拿起

browse = look / search 搜索

up to date = having all the most recent information 拥有所有最新的信息

monitor = computer screen 电脑屏幕监视器

computer tech = a person in a company who fixes computers 电脑技术工，在公司里负责维修电脑的人

pick up = get acquire 拿起接起

corrupt file = damaged or broken computer file that can't be opened 损坏的无法打开的计算机文件

surf the net = look for information in the internet在网上查找信息
