MPlatform SDK v2.8 adds support for AV1 NVIDIA hardware encoding and decoding. NVIDIA GPU hardware encoding is much faster than CPU-based encoding. Hardware decoding allows users to play back AV1 video with lower CPU usage and power consumption.
