AWS EC2 常见难点总结

1. Max AWS instance = 20

AWS will have limitation of the number of instance, default is 20 instances, but if you want to request more instances, you need to raise request form to AWS support to ask for additional AWS instances. 

2. Local Instace storage vs EBS

Local instance is a kind of pre-assign instance stroage which support SDD/HDD disk type. 

Used for temperory data storage or fast data storage.

1) Can not extend size

2) Data is just temperory store , if instance stop and termine, it will be gone

3) It is free.

4) can not backup Data

EBS is a kind of AWS stroage soluction

1) Can perm store

2) Can have snapshot to backup Data (WIthin AZ), manage by AWS Data LifeCycle Manager. It do not need to un-mounted the EBS, but for those cached Data which do not storage on EBS, it can not be taken Shapshot

FSR it enable faster Sanpshot restore. 

3) Cost by used. 

3. Support ECC, means used physical RAM. 

4. EC2 SLA, 99.99% in Region means down team less than 50 mins

5. Support Lots of instance vist single EBS block. (Max 16 mount points). But do not support Multi-attach enable volumen to boot EC2. 

6. IP Limitation: 

    Each Region support up to 5 Elastic IPV4 public IP

7. Amazon Cloud Watch store 2 weeks data for those Instance alrady demised. 

8. Instance Sleep for those intance which do not need to up now. The RAM and EBS Data will temperory storage. 

1) cause Sleep need some storage to store the RAM Data, please kindly use a kind lf large EBS as a root volumn in the Instance. 

2) Sleep is a middle status betwen Start and Stop, we can enable this Sleep status during the Instance is starting instead of fully started.
