voxsrc20_isu_01-DL server suspend automatically

Description

Server abnormally suspend after DL environment was almost done.
This had been record for more than 3 times.

Analysis

1. Try to find out suspend log to see why going into suspend.

Action

Try to find out suspend log

$ cat /var/log/pm-suspend.log, but the log file was empty.

Try to locate which service will result in this issue?

Test1: Let the computer run for one day, and check whether or not it will suspend.
Record1: After login and one day, the computer was not suspended.
But the computer would suspend 20 minutes later if stayed in welcome page.
Also, the screen would be black 5 minutes later.
So, this is due to server itself.

Q: How to disable black screen and auto-suspend if not logged in?
But now, for me, there is no need to figure out it.
Just use simple solution, login at first to avoid unexpected suspend.

Test2: ssh service. Connect to server using SSH, and check.
No need to do.

Test3: xrdp service. Connect to server using RDP, and check.
No need to do.

Solution

Need to login at first.

Lesson learn

Power management strategy is different before and after login.
