Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) belongs to the phospholipid class, and its glycerol main chain is connected by phosphate groups, fatty chains, and hydroxyl groups. The phosphate group is connected to the sn-3 position, and the fatty chain is connected to the sn-1 or sn-2 position. Connect the remaining sn-1 or sn-2 positions with carboxyl groups. Application: 18:1 Lyso PA or 1-oleoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate has been used to study its effect on transient intracellular calcium concentration [Ca2+] in pheochromocytoma cell 12 (PC12) and primary astrocytes. It has also been used to study its effects on levels and physical endurance in fasted mice.
