--Tablespaces
1.When the SYSTEM tablespace is locally managed, you must define at least one default temporary tablespace when creating a database. A locally managed SYSTEM tablespace cannot be used for default temporary storage.
2.In a database with a locally managed SYSTEM tablespace, dictionary tablespaces cannot be created. It is possible to plug in a dictionary managed tablespace using the transportable feature, but it cannot be made writable
--Control Files
Among other things, a control file contains information such as:
■ The database name
■ The timestamp of database creation
■ The names and locations of associated datafiles and redo log files
■ Tablespace information
■ Datafile offline ranges
■ The log history
■ Archived log information
■ Backup set and backup piece information
■ Backup datafile and redo log information
■ Datafile copy information
■ The current log sequence number
■ Checkpoint information
