2.That's why +从句：那就是.....原因，后者why后面是结果。

i was caught in the traffic jam. that's why i was late.我今天遇上了堵车，那就是我来晚的原因。

3. be动词后面是表语，后面的从句是表语从句。
That's 后面的表语从句常常用特殊疑问词引导，再加一个句子。
That's when we can start class.
That's where we will have a meeting.

4.else:其他的
疑问代词:
    who else,
    what else can i do for you ?
不定代词:
    anyone else还有其它人吗？
    anything else还有其它事吗？

  如果有地点，knock off 无地点：knock over
  knock out:打晕,在拳击场合中，把人打倒在地点knock out
6.ask sb for sth.问某人要什么东西。
  the boy asked (his parents) for money again.

7.in return:作为回报
  in return for this:作为对什么的回报
  he doesn't want anything in return
  他不想要任何东西做为回报。
  i will buy present for him in return for hospitality.
  他对我很热情，我要买一个礼物做为回报。

8.stood on his head:倒立
  stand on one's knees
  stand on one's hands
  lie in bed 躺着在床上。
  lie on one's back:仰面躺着。
  lie on one's side:侧躺。

9. tell sb about sth
  tell sb sth:告诉某人某件事（把事情直接告诉）tell you the news
  tell sb about sth 通过其他事自己得出结论，tell you about him.

10.once a month 一个月一次，单位表达方式。

11.在表示一种笼统概念（某某一类、一种东西）的陈述句中可以省略a和some.
  yesterday i bought a book, Books are not very expensive.
  I have just drunk a glass of milk,Milk is very refreshing.
  I ate an apple.Apples are delicious.
  我吃了苹果，苹果很好吃。
