Terminology
1.An array in oracle is an ordered set of built-in types or objects , call elements.
Each array elements is of the same type.each element has an index, which is a number corresponding to the element's position in the array.
2.Encapsulation means that each object within the databases has a well-defined interface with distinct borders.
This has hte direct benefit of preventing illegal access to the data.
3.Inheritance is the ability to create new classes of objects as specializetions of existing classes.
4.Nested tables are another new collection type provided with oracle.
A nested table is a table that appears as a column in another table.yet you can perform the same operations on it as on other talbes.
5.Object are software representations of real-world entitties.
6.Object view are an extention of the traditional relational view mechanism that allows you to treat relational data as if it were object entities.
7.Object-Relational database is the term used to describe a database that is the evolution of a relational databae.that now has object-oriented capabilities embedded within it.
8.Polymorphism is the ability of objects to react diffenrently to an identical message.
9.Every ro in an oracle talbe has a unique rowid.
10.Varray is a new type recogized by oracle. An array is an orderd set of built-in types or objects, called elements.
11.the oracle sever incorporates a new extented rowid format, which supports new features in oracle such as table partitions, index partition,
and clusters.
