Windows Azure is anopen and flexiblecloud platform built byMicrosoft, it has been widely spread around the globe.
Now I will introduce how to deploy a web application on it.
1. Create and deploy a Windows Azure Project.
Generate a deployment package
Now you can get a package as this:
Register a free Azureaccount.
Log into the Azureportal(http://manage.windowsazure.com/microsoft.com
) and create a cloud service, deploy the package you have justproduced.
Now you can get the URL on the dashboard of the Azure service you created.
Now you can visit it by the URLhttp://wesley.cloudapp.net/
2. Create a Windows Azure VM, build a SQL SERVER for the WindowsAzure Project.
Get the details about the Azure VM from its dashboard.
RDC to it from the tab named ”CONNECT” on the dashboard.
Turn off the windows firewall of the VM
Add an endpoint to the VM from the azure portal.
Now you can use the following connection string in your Azureproject:
Server=tcp:wesley-vm.cloudapp.net,57500;Database=(database);UserID=(userid);Password=( password);TrustServerCertificate=True;Encrypt=True;
Or you can log into it through the SQL Server Management Studio:
Create a login test for external use(run the below commands in SSMS in VM).
CREATE LOGIN test WITH PASSWORD = 'Test_abc123$', DEFAULT_DATABASE=[DB_NAME]
GO
CREATE User test_user FROM LOGIN test
GO
EXEC sp_addrolemember 'db_owner','test_user'
