I started reading when I was very young.I was the only child in the family and there were few children of my age in the neightborhood,So my parents taught me reading early,I started off on fairy tales and went on to adventure stories,I find books the best of my companions and lost myself in reading books of every kind,Before I reached my teens I had read dozens of world classics.
Reading broadens my horizon and enriches my mind,It open me to completely new worlds and satisfies my curiosity about exotic culture,A good reader does not have to travel thousands of miles in order to see a remote place or an obscure tribe,It is all there in the books, depicted in great detail and accessible at the turn of a page,But most important of all, reading puts me in contact with the greatest minds of the world,When I read a book by a great man or woman,I feel as if I were having a dialogue with the writer, I could ask them questions about the world of their time and how they understood what was happening around them,Such dialogue helps me to understand the present-day world and our times
I love reading also because I find it the best form of relaxation,Ours is a troubled world,Everyone has got his share of cares and worries,When feeling low,I pick up a book and get lost in another world of the author's creation.I find myself drowned in the sheer joy and ecstatic excitement of a new exploration,The stresses and strains that weigh me down seem to evaporate immediately,Icome back to work with a refreshed mind and renewed energy.
