linux内核版本与大页内存

Oracle Linux - Transparent Huge Pages (THP) and Memory Compaction Causing Processes to Get Unresponsive on UEK2 (Doc ID 1606759.1)     
关于禁用透明大页内存, 在该文档中明确指出:
THP already been disabled in UEK2 kernel-2.6.39-400.205.0 and later, above workaround only applies to UEK2 kernel-2.6.39-400.204.0 or eariler versions.
另外我在mos查找UEK版本的识别, mos中并没有关于特别提到的辨别uek版本的文章, 结合多个文章来看,判断uek版本的方法应该就是
# uname -a
里面显示的内核大版本号,例如:
4.1.12-37.5.1.el6uek.x86_64    表明是uek4中的版本
3.8.13-44.1.1.el6uek.x86_64    就是uek3中的版本

另外关于uek内核,可能是多个大版本一起更新的,所以针对oracle linux  uek,是否需要关闭THP, 文档中提出:
Note: on UEK2 and above, check the existence of the /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/directory.  If this directory does not exist, then the transparent hugepage is removed from the kernel, so there is no need to disable the transparent hugepage
