how to install OpenFetion using source, not deb, on Ubuntu

The following steps amlost base on the README file in openfetion dir.

 

1. Parameters

version: openfetion-all-2.1.0

Ubuntu: 10.04 LTS

 

2.Steps

2.1 install neccessary libs

      some libs is neccessary, such as openssl , libxml2 , gtk+2.0 , and u can using apt-get to install like this:

 

     sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev     (or libgtk2-dev, you can use tab key to find the specific name in your source)
     sudo apt-get install libssl-dev         
     sudo apt-get install libxml2-dev

     sudo apt-get install pkg-config

     sudo apt-get install libsqlite3-dev   (Important)

 

2.2 install cmake and  build openfetion

     sudo apt-get install cmake

 

     cd your openfeiton root dir, then

     mkdir build
     cd build
     cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=release ..

     make

     sudo make install

 

2.3 OK, may be you can find the openfeion icon in Applications/Internet/OpenFetion
