（1）Scalability

①Scalability 

Scalability is the ability of a system to handle growing
amounts of work in a graceful manner.

②Load Scalability

Load scalability, the easiness for a system to increase its
resources to accommodate the increasing load.
③ABDP

ABDP is a measurement ofcommunication resources needed for
supporting certain communication needs. 

It integrates 2 important metrics：communicationbandwidth、communicationdistance

ABDP scales with number of smart meters（N） and sampling frequency in smart meters（ρ）.

（2）CDN Problem

The optimal placement of a given number of web server replicas in a CDN.

It is modeled as a K-median problem.

①Greedy Algorithm

②Hot Spot Algorithm

③Tree-based Algorithm

Greedy Algorithm is close to optimal.

优化目标是total cost

注：①由摘要可知，total cost = ABDP（代表通信资源使用） + MDMS部署花销

而这些花销受N和ρ影响。

②section 4 是在说，如何通过一个算法使得如何安放MDMS使得total cost最小。

section 5 是在说，现在已经有最优的方案了，那么这个具体的cost是怎么随着N以及ρ增加的。
