[Q&A] Predefined Search Help for WERKS doesn't work properly

Q:

in my dynprofield I have a field called 'gf_werks'.

In Screen painter I manually added predefined search help H_T001W_T.

If I push F4 on gf_werks search help pops up.

But if I select one entry it transports the name of selected werks. But I need werks itself not its name...

 

What I'm doing wrong?

ust declare a variable in your program with the same name 'gf_werks' like below.

 

DATA: gf_werks TYPE werks_d.

 

Then in your screen field attributes, remove the search help and under the 'program' tab, for 'Poss. Entries Key', select 2. That is all you need to do.
