- copy local file to remote server
- scp filename user@server:new_filename
- scp -r dir user@server:new_dir
- it will make one connection from local to remote
- copy remote file to local
- scp user@server:dir/file_name local_dir/new_filename
- default dir is current working dir
- I was thinking maybe we could use scp user@server:file user@local:newfile, this would produce two connections, one from local to server and the other from server to local, could be problematic.
