Along with the rapid development of our society, people tend to attach more and more importance to education. The government also consider to increase the budget in education area while they come across a problem: which stage of education should be given more money, primary education or college education? Frankly speaking, I suppose that college students need more investment than pupils. My arguments are stated below: First of all, college education requires much more expensive equipment than primary schools. Fundamental education only involves in the teaching of basic knowledge. Take physics as an example, elementary physics classes about force of friction only need several small sliders and a long wooden board. This won’t cost too much. Plus, the task of fundamental education aims largely on helping kids form good life and learning habits as well as cooperation and communication. In college, students will focus on cultivating professional knowledge and skills in order to make themselves qualified in future jobs. Take physics again. Different from fundamental physics, college physics involves advanced techniques which need precise instrument as well as expensive experimental material. Laser device or electron emission instrument in laboratory will cost a large sum of money let alone those consumables. Therefore, objectively college education has a big demand in budget. In addition, parents typically are more willing to spend money on little kids rather than on their adult ones. Domestic education investment more frequently flow to the younger due to the widespread conviction that parents should never let their kids lose at the beginning. However, a large proportion of college students still need further financial support because their major owns a long-term cultivating circle. Surgeons and attorneys may be able to earn their living after they get doctor’s degree. So it can be tough for these students if the government offers little help. Last but not least, investing money into universities can get quicker returns because the interval between university students get trained and get jobs is shorter than primary students. More specifically, if the government pays for a group of college students to learn accounting, four years later they can serve as skilled accountants; however, if the government put these money into the math tutoring for primary students, it will cost longer than one decade for them to get outstanding math talents, let alone not all of these pupils will choose math-related major in their future. Indeed, both fundamental education and college education are important for a country. But considering various factors including demands and returns, universities rather than primary schools actually require more investment.

In contemprory society, education has been widely recognized as an issue of great significance to a country. And there is an increasingly widespread discussion about how to portionate the funds to primary schools or higher education. The other tendency that parents pay much more attention in their children’s preschool education and cultivating their interest of skills might lead some impressional individuals, especially young parents, to draw a conclusion that goverments should put more money on the education for young children rather than universitiy campus. However, this opinions suffers from both logical and practical fallacies. Conidering the following concerns, I, personlly believe that funding more money on university seems much proper.

For one thing, students in the university need more attention. According to a survey conducted by Hunan University, one of the mst prestigous
university in China, 86 percent of the renspondents, indicate their equipment are needed to be improved. However, the children alwasy gain the help from the goverment and their parents. University students in that age are under more pressure, so they need more support from our society.

For another thing, the university students, who have already decided their major and development orientation, are much easier to take advantage of the funds. Compared with young children, the university students as well as the management have more specific goals and cleared arrangment for their improvements. The education for young children might aim at all rounded advancement, which sometimes of less significance for the future of some students. Nevertheless, universities and their students always know where is their inferior points and will use the money more effectively. Therefore, investments on universities are less likely to be useless.

Additionally, putting more money on the education for universities could get more feedback and reward immediatly. Being ready for entering the society and starting their own career, the effect of the fund spending on university students could rapidly be observed after they graduated. In that regard, the goverment could rapidly adjust the aspects where they investigated. On the contrary, one can not get the feedback from young children to render some improvements on the investing strategy. Therefore, to take better advantage of the money, investing the university seems like a more sound decision. Also, students gruaduated from universities might immediatly provide their knowledge to our society, by this way the goverment also recieve reward from the investment.

In a nutshell, more funds putting on the university students can derive much more profits to harmony of our society. Anyway, there are one thousand Hamlet in a thousand people’s eyes, I still hope the individuals holding opponent opinions might somehow compromise after exposed to this articel.
