Length of Last Word

Length of Last Word

String里最后一个单词的长度

Given a string s consists of upper/lower-case alphabets and empty space characters ' ', return the length of last word in the string.

If the last word does not exist, return 0.

Example

Given s = "Hello World", return 5.

Solution:

从末尾向前看

    public int lengthOfLastWord(String s) {
        if(s == null || s.length() == 0) {
            return 0;
        }
        int count = 0;
        int i = s.length() - 1;
        while(s.charAt(i) == ' ') {
            --i;   
        }
        while(s.charAt(i) != ' ') {
            count++;
            if(!(--i >= 0)) {
               break;
            }
        }
        return count;
    }

使用split函数

    public int lengthOfLastWord(String s) {
        if(s == null || s.length() == 0) {
            return 0;
        }
        String[] array = s.split(" ");
        if(array.length == 0) {
            return 0;
        }
        return array[array.length - 1].length(); 
    }

思路：

从末尾向前看是，string末尾可能都是空格。
