付浩：

1.少数文章中，中文姓名的英文翻译是以字母大写的姓在前，名在后的方式给出。学术搜索似乎会把这种姓名当作是另一个人。例如SUN Guang-Zhong
2.重名作者的文章不能有效地归类到正确的作者名下。例如Yu Zhang
3.对于人名，当没有精确的匹配时，学术搜索会把同一篇文章中不同作者的名字拼接起来与我们的搜索关键字进行匹配，这似乎不是用户所期望的。

 

田飞：

与google scholar 相比

优点：1.不止是提供文献检索功能，更提供领域检索、作者排名、机构信息、国际会议等功能，比如0711的出国同学确定研究方向就使用了微软学术搜索确定的领域，并且以此检索领  域信息。

2．提供给用户编辑信息的功能，能与用户交流，也是一种集思广益。

缺点：1.显然的一条：只包括CS领域

             2检索质量有待提高，以检索我在看的一篇文献为例“answering definitional questions”,输入之后google到第三页的feedback依然出现很相关的文献，具体表现为文献名至少有两个词命中，微软的学术检索到第三页就只有两个结果了，并且基本上没有相关性。并且google前三页的文献结果只是关于CS的，没有其他领域的结果。

             3．学者、机构信息的准确度有待提高

             4．其他语言支持还没有提供

彭秀莲：

I have tried the academic search for the first time. Since there is not so much user experiences, I have only a few words for itJ

It seems that its functionality is very powerful. The ranked ordering, the statistical information and the links among several affiliations such as author name, organization, publication, etc. benefit us much.

However, there are still places needed to be improved.

1)      When I typed a research key word “compound image”, there are only links to conferences, authors and journals. No organization link is found, which is important if we want to see the papers in this domain by a specific organization.

2)      No combined search is enabled such as the advanced search as in google.

3)      The settings for the number of papers displayed on a page, the ranking according to year and so on are not supported.
