​ Good morning! My respected professors! I am glad to be here for this interview. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Qiu Huajie. I am 24 years old. I come from Pingyao, Shanxi Province. I graduated from Taiyuan University of Technology , my major is Software Engineering.

​ During the four years in my college, I have learned a lot of computer theoretical knowledge and laid a solid foundation for my further education. For my excellent performance in school, I won a school-level scholarship . In addition to completing my school courses, I enjoy programming. In the process of programming, I learned a lot of professional knowledge and problem-solving ability. Meanwhile, I joined the technical department of the school, responsible for the backstage maintenance of the student portal with my classmate, During this experience, I realized the importance of cooperation and communication, and I am more and more interested in computer technology.

​ My family is not big but very warm ,There are four member in my family : my parents , my sister and me. My father is an accountant , Although he had a disability in his leg, he was determined to learn on his own and obtained an accounting qualification . He always teach me how to be independent and persistent, he always encourage me to learn new things to explore new fields, his encouragement has always been the source of my power. I love my family, and I will do my best to live up to their expectations.

​ its name is Taiyuan University of Technology ,I love my university which has a long history, it has a beautiful landscape , the teachers in my college are all in the great patient, they teach us a lot of professional knowledge that will benefit me all my life,and I think I’m lucky because I have some wonderful roommates, we don’t play computer games like others , we share the same interests in study and sports. So I think being made my college life meaningful. My college days are the best memories of my life.

​ My favorite course is Big Data Technology Principles and Applications. First of all, I am very interested in Big Data technology, and this course has not only a lot of theoretical knowledge, but also a lot of practical training, so that we can have a deeper understanding of the theoretical knowledge. This experience made me more interested in big data technology and laid a solid foundation for my future studies.

​ In my spare time, my hobby is sports . My favorite sport is playing basketball. I feel relaxed when I play basketball , especially before or after exams . playing basketball helps me keep in shape , and I also enjoy the team spirit of basketball. Proper exercise can not only keep us healthy, but also can do a combination of work and rest, which is helpful to our study and work. so I will stick to exercise.

what do you think about your strengths /merits ?

​ I think I am a very persistent person, I will not give up when I encounter difficulties until I find a way to solve them. for example, When writing the project code before, When I was writing the code for the project, I encountered a lot of programming problems, I didn’t give up, but consulted books or asked others for solutions, slept only 5 hours a day, and finally finished the project after a week，I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment after completing my work.

​ I think my shortcoming is that I read few thesis related to my major. Although I had read some books related to my major during my college, I think it is far from enough. Therefore, During the postgraduate period，I will make sure that I can be familiar with the lasted development of this field by reading as many books and thesis as possible .

​ The common operating systems are Windows , Mac OS , UNIX , Android and IOS. Windows is a multi task operating system, which uses graphical window interface. Mac OS is an operating system running on Apple series computers. IOS is a handheld device operating system developed by apple. Android is an open source operating system based on Linux, mainly used on mobile devices.

My work includes the implementation of student and administrator system registration and login functions, student information management functions, front-end page design and implementation, and Oracle database form design.

​ Since I chose the big data direction in my junior year, my thesis is focused on the Big Data analytics, The title of my graduation project is Design and implementation of new retail business data analysis system, The purpose is to analyze the hidden value behind business data to help retailers make better sales decision.

​ This system uses scrapy framework to collect data related to retail business, about 100,000 pieces of data are collected, then I use spark computing engine to process the dataset, and write MapReduce program to segment and integrate the data, finally use python flask framework and echars to visualize the data.
This experience made me more interested in big data technology and laid a solid foundation for my future studies.
