   1. apple of one's eye
       掌上明珠，心肝宝贝（指某人极为珍爱的人或物）

Ex:   Grandfather always made the most fuss of Gillian;she is the apple of his eye.


    2. apple-polisher   马屁精

Ex:   John is such an apple -polisher,he always agrees with whatever the boss says.


   3. apples and oranges
       风马不相及的事情

Ex:  Men and women are like apples and oranges.
       男人跟女人是完全不同的。

   4. rotten apple   坏家伙，害群之马

Ex: He is a rotten apple.
      他是一个讨厌的家伙。
