PeopleSoft Internet Architecture Overview

 A while back, I gave a brief overview of the PeopleSoft architecture to a group of developers. I figured there might be other PeopleSoftPros out there that may need to present this type of overview to their management or others, for informational purposes. Therefore, I've added the presentation for anyone to download.

The architecture of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise provides powerful functionality for Internet based application access and integration. This approach utilizes standard Internet technologies and concepts to deliver simple, ubiquitous access to PeopleSoft Enterprise applications and enables the open flow of information between systems.

Using the PeopleSoft Enterprise architecture as the foundation, you can provide a wide range of end users with access to PeopleSoft Enterprise applications over the web and more easily integrate their PeopleSoft Enterprise applications with existing internal systems and external systems.

The architecture is a server-centric architecture that enables secure end user access to PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. Internet access is provided using standard Internet technologies such as HTML, HTTP, XML and Web Services.
