Skilling up for Oracle Fusion

Hopefully you know that:

• PeopleSoft is now owned by Oracle
• Oracle are developing the next generation of enterprise applications collectively known as Fusion applications.

Oracle have already started incorporating some of the fusion technology (e.g oracle application server, XML-BI publisher) into the latest PeopleTools releases (as of 8.48). They have also started moving towards service oriented architecture (buzzword SOA), for example with application packages in many of the PeopleSoft applications.

What do I need to learn about Fusion?

A good place to start is to learn about JDeveloper which is becomming Oracle's development platform and Oracle's Application Development Framework (ADF). There also this site with an overview of the Oracle development tools.
