Gradually, begin to specify ticket. However, that isn't same with write spec for use case.As you know, specify ticket is description for how to reproduce the error. We have no need to thinking all aspects as our best.Only things need to do is descript course clearly.Sure, sometimes we also need try different instance to detect more related questions,in order to settle them once. This is convenient for developer to modify them in time, and avoid duplicate ticket. For tester, the most directly result is reduce our workload.
Maybe this is one of differents between ticket and spec, for a ticket we can collect related issue together and test once, but for a spec we're afraid cover one function use one or more spec.Designning test case is important for testing.Good test case can discover potential issue in system. That is not easy,it need tester know the requirement clearly and thinking all possibility for one place.Take an example, for a textbox,we should suppose several instances, like integer, letter(capital or lowercase),positive, negative,or something like that.Other component like radio box, checkbox, buttons, all of them need test in different cases.
You might think what is relation between these and today's topic?Let's think of triangle, how many instances it has?All of its side are 0,positive or negative. If they are all positive,if they are fit the condition of triangle. If it isn't satisfy the condition whether the system prompt correct message. There must have lots of gather. Then, let us make it complex. What about equilateral, scalene, isosceles? For isosceles, which two side are equal, and if it full with the regulation.Just a triangle, its spec can really complex to cover every possiblity.I think this isn't exaggerate at all.Testing have some method to test different component, like use limitation value, base on different path and so on.Sometime we also need collect two methods togther to find question.
I'm sorry for continuing writing right now.I need clean up my mind to state it clearly. It'll be continued latter. Thanks all guys attention!I'll go ahead.
