论文写作中relation-relationship-correlation的区别与联系

relation/relationship 关系，联系，往来；常常在文章中用作the relation/relationship betwwen A and B
relationship 更强调关系，比如说男女的暧昧关系

correlation/correlationship 相互关系,强调相互；相关性
eg. The second group of measurements had a high correlation with the first.

related 有关的，强调A和B之间有connection
correlated 相互关联的，常常表示one thing causes the other
eg. Obesity correlates with increased risk for hypertension and stroke

想了一下，跟be related with 表达一样的意思的用法只有be associated with
像concerned relevant be connected with 这些，虽然大面上也有“与…相关”的意思，可是细品味还有有差别存在。

 

We often use "correlation" the most for scientific studies. For example, "there is a correlation between drinking coffee and being focused while working." "Relationship" also works here, but it is more general. You can also use it in more casual situations, such as "Sam and Mary are in a relationship."

 

"Relationship" vs. "Relation"
These are not interchangeable. "Relationship" is used to describe a social bond, such as between a mother and a child, a teacher and a child, etc. "Relation" is used to describe non-animate associations, including those between variables.

写论文的时候经常会碰到这个词语混淆不清的情况，以上文字摘自APA style （American Psychological Association格式） reminder，个人觉得写的很是明确。

Relationship表示的是社会人际关系，Relation是指事物间关系。希望有所帮助
