Intel i5-8500 + H370 study notes

1. CPU + PCH architecture

PCH is from south bridge and north bridge is integrated into CPU.

H370 is PCH -- Platform Controller Hub.

The datasheet of H370 is "Intel series 300 chipset" -- Intel® H370 Chipset.

i5-8500 is CPU.

2. PCI information on Linux

Here is i5-8500 PCI conceptual diagram

 And Here is the Linux 'lspci' information:

We can see, on my PC, only missing 00:05.0 Image Unit Device. And there are host bridge(00:00.0), Integrated Graphics Device(00:02.0) , Host PCI Express Bridge(00:01.0) and Gaussian Mixture Model Device(00:08.0).

And we can see a lot of PCIE device on PCH.
