after you enable https on tomcat, you have to export the certificate to the local java runtime. To do that you follow these steps:
1) Export the public key
keytool -export -class tomcat -file public.cert
2) Copy the file public.cert to the client system. This can be achieved in a varity of ways I used ftp.
3) import the certificate into the local keystore
keytool -import -alias tomcat -keystore ${JAVA_HOME}/jre/lib/securitycacerts -file public.cert
once this is done you can use the url that includes the https in the hessian web service.
