How to set up Hadoop DEV environment under Eclipse

1. get source code then compile to jar(the jar is eclipse version and hadoop version sensitive).

2. drop the plugin into "plugins" dir under the install path of eclipse.

3. restart eclipse.

4. config 'hadoop install path' item in "Preferences --> Hadoop Map/Reduce".

5. specify a nessesary Hadoop server configuration in "Map/Reduce Locations" view.

   1. Hadoop in specific location/server should be ran firstly.

   2. Add a new Hadoop location:

      
      

      

   3. It's better to set Hadoop as auto start-up.
      

6. open "Hadoop" perspective.

7. create a "Map/Reduce" project for a demo.

   1. Maven can be used for dependencies mgt.
