Goal

On UNIX, how can the Forms version easily be checked?

Solution

10gR2 Forms

Run the following command from the Unix shell:

  

 $ORACLE_HOME/frmcmp_batch.sh HELP=YES | head -2

Example output is:

  

 Forms 10.1 (Form. Compiler) Version 10.1.2.3.0 (Production)

11g Forms

Run the following command from the Unix shell:

$ORACLE_INSTANCE/frmcmp_batch.sh HELP=YES | head -2

Example output is:
  

Forms 11 (Form. Compiler) Version 11.1.1.2.0 (Production)
